
Rules & Regulations
1.1
Displaying of undesirable sportsmanship behaviour or
failure to comply with the rules stated below or defying instructions given by
the officials and marshals on the day of the event will result in the team
being disqualified.
1.2
The intentional damaging of equipments will
automatically disqualify the team. The team has to pay for the damages of the
equipments. The bills could be charged to any of the teams.
1.3
The judges’ decision is final.
2.1
All competitors are to ensure their own safety and
take all precautions to avoid posing dangers to other competitors.
2.2
All competitors must wear their life-vests throughout
the race during the kayaking session.
2.3
Competitors deemed by the officials to intentionally
cause capsize or bring danger to other competitors during the race will be
disqualified.
3.1
In the case of an emergency, appropriate rescues will
be carried out.
3.2
Only in the case of unintentional capsize under
non-emergency cases will the powerboat (or the marshal’s canoe) assist to
recover the capsized canoe and competitors will have to carry on with the race.
3.3
Capsizing in the race will not result in
disqualification.
4.1
Any team can file for an appeal to the panel of
judges.
4.2
Any appeal will have to be made 10 minutes after the
team has reached the finishing point.
4.3
Each appeal will cost $20.
4.4
The judges’ decision is final.
5.1
We will contact participants again regarding payment,
around two weeks before the event.
5.2
Team manager might need to make a trip to Ngee Ann
Polytechnic to make the payment, at the same time attend a briefing on what will
happen on the day of event.
5.3
Participants may want to pay directly to any of our
RD committee members. Email to relay.duathlon@gmail.com
to make arrangements.
5.4
Please ensure that you are given the correct receipt
upon payment.
6.1
Participants are encouraged to put on their shoes for
their own safety.
6.2
No pacing is allowed at all times.
6.3
There will be refund if event is cancelled due to
unforeseen circumstances.
6.4
Any withdrawal of teams within 3 week before event
will not receive any refunds.
6.5
Any last minute change of team/team members (i.e. one
week before event) is not allowed.
6.6
Failure to obey the Rules & Regulations will lead
to disqualification.
6.7
No refund will be given for any disqualification
case.
6.8
In the event of any dispute, the decision of Ngee Ann
Canoeing Club is final.
6.9
Ngee Ann Polytechnic will not hold responsible for
any injuries.
